YOUR HOME'S ELECTRONIC FOUNDATION. The On-Q Home Base Solution provides the required foundation for your home's electronic infrastructure. This up-to-date home wiring system is necessary to take advantage of applications today such as digital TV, multiple phone lines, home Internet access, and prepares your home for rapidly emerging technologies.

While most builders include a Base Solution as a standard feature in their new homes, it is important that you verify with your builder what is included in your new home.

The Base Solution typically provides distribution of telephone and TV services to a specified number of wired outlets in multiple rooms. To meet your lifestyle needs in entertainment, communications, and comfort, On-Q Home provides a suite of home solutions that add value to your investment and enhance your home living experience.

FEATURES
The On-Q Home Base Solution has three main components:
  • SERVICE CENTER: Where it all comes together: structured wiring, applications, and services

  • CONNECTION OUTLETS: Where you connect to your home wiring system

  • HIGH-PERFORMANCE CONNECTIONS: What goes between the Service Center and the Connection Outlets.
DETAILS
  SERVICE CENTER
This is where services from outside the home (cable TV, telephone, digital satellite, Internet, etc.) enter the home, are physically integrated, and from which are distributed to locations throughout the home - similar to the electrical breaker panel.

The service center is also the location for mounting electronic equipment and other system modules used to provide more advanced applications and home solutions.

CONNECTION OUTLETS
The outlets built in to each room connect services to your phones, TVs, and other electronic devices. Proper outlets are required for maximum performance and flexibility.

  HIGH PERFORMANCE CONNECTIONS
Just because advanced services can reach the house doesn't mean that you can access them. Services such as digital satellite TV, high-speed internet access, and whole-house music require high performance cables.

The On-Q Home Base Solution connects your home through RG-6 quad-shield coaxial cable for TV and video applications and CAT5e wiring (the same wiring used in computer networks) for phone, data, and other applications. Quad-shielded means you have maximum protection from interference with your TV picture. CAT5e wire can provide up to four dedicated phone lines without crosstalk and supports very high speed networking. These cables deliver all the performance you need today, while providing the capacity to handle tomorrow's technology.
